2-Days Hands on Workshop on Scanning Electron Microscopy

Will impart knowledge on diversified use of a state of the art multipurpose field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM)
  • Lectures on main subsystems of FESEM, different modes of image formation. 
  • Practical demonstration of studying metallic, composite and ceramic samples, compositional analysis and x-ray mapping
  • Preparation of sample, necessary pre-processing before inspection in SEM
  • Quantitative analysis of microstructures and compositional spectra

Prof Anjum Tauqir, PhD Univ of Connecticut - Has diversified experience of more than 3 decades in renowned educational and research institutions of Pakistan, USA and Russia on a spectrum of materials
