The Department of Remote Sensing and Geo-information Science runs a Bachelor of Science in Remote Sensing & Geo-Information Science (BS-RS&GISc) program to provide a platform for students getting knowledge about geospatial technologies. This program provides a sound foundation to the young-generation in Remote Sensing (RS) and Geo-information Science (GISc) to fulfill the demands of their profession in these technologies. This program will also fill in the geospatial technologies awareness and skill development gap for drawing optimum benefits from these technologies in various fields. The nature of possible careers is spread over a wide canvas that includes the following;

• Agriculture (crop planning, crop health monitoring, yield forecasting)
• Natural Resource Management
• Geology (mineral exploration, earthquake prediction and mapping)
• Water Resources (snow melt monitoring and melt-water estimation, flood mapping, monitoring and prediction, irrigation planning and monitoring)
• Urban Planning and Monitoring (city planning, transportation & utility network planning)
• Revenue and Tax Collection Mapping
• Land Administration and Management
• Meteorology and Climatology
• Environment
• Navigation and Tracking Applications
• Location-based Services
• Healthcare, public services, criminology, real Estate etc.

1. Matric/ Equivalent Certificate
2. HSSC/ Equivalent with Mathematics with minimum 50% overall marks OR HSSC Pre-Medical/ Equivalent with minimum 50% overall marks*
3. No Entry Test Required

*Candidates with FSc Pre-Medical / equivalent qualification enrolled in BS Computer Science/ Artificial Intelligence/ Data Science program will have to clear deficient Mathematics courses of 6 credit hours, within one year
