IST Library is integrated with digital technology and electronic information resources. There is an active and continuous collection development program for the Library. It has a dynamic collection of books, journals, magazines related to four disciplines, supplemented by the availability of a xeroxing facility. The core design, furniture and general decor contribute to the formation of an intellectual environment that attracts students to study with concentration.
General Collection
IST Library has a collection of more than 8,000 books on every subject that is relevant to the courses taught at the institute. Moreover, a balanced collection of books on Islam, Fiction and other subjects are also available.
Reference Section
The reference section has over 800 reference books, journals, handbooks, encyclopedia, etc.
Periodicals
Library is currently subscribing 39 periodicals to meet the requirements of researchers, faculty members and students.
Audio Visual Collection
Audio-visual material is considered an essential medium of instruction. Library has a good collection of CDs, DVDs, Audio/Video Cassettes and related audio/video devices.
Online Resources
To enrich the library collection with latest online resources available through Internet, publications from professional societies like ACM, IMeche and IEEEare also accessible.

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has made available 60,000 online books in addition to 23,000 journals to researchers within public and private universities in Pakistan under the Digital Library Programme.
